Green Village Philadelphia is a 501C(3) public charity whose mission is to foster and support neighborhood development that restores and sustains the community of life for our selves and for future generations. Our vision is a sustainable urban neighborhood, a Green Village, built around a central marketplace and public common spaces, where commerce, education, creative expression, social interaction and environmental stewardship are built into the daily flow of life. Our purpose is to develop and manage a vibrant model for sustainable urban living near center city Philadelphia. Green Village Philadelphia will acquire and place in trust underutilized land adjacent to an economically sensitive residential area, easily accessible from downtown, and develop a convivial community that will create green jobs and green housing in the context of a living urban experiment.
